A Coffee, Toast, Whiskey and Beer Bar on the River

Those are the four things that the people at Little Toasted do very well. And those are the things you’re about to experience a great deal more of now that the new all-day bar is open in Riverside Plaza. Check it out.

First, the coffee. It’s from Groundswell and you can have as much as you want all day, every day for $79 a month. Moving on…

To the toast. It’s not just fancy toast, it’s things like extra-fancy strawberries and cream toast with rose-whipped ricotta and mint dust.

And ah yes, whiskey. The v-shaped, concrete bar will cater nicely to you and your after-work crowd with bottles upon bottles of amber liquid displayed on polished wooden shelves. Take a seat under the copper light fixtures for a Sex and Caffeine, which combines 10-year single-barrel with nitro coffee. It’ll definitely get you in the mood for the cheese and potato-filled wontons drizzled with Aleppo honey.

Or wait until the dining room and patio open up next month, where you can enjoy a Maplewood Pulaski Pils alongside house-smoked chicken with black truffles and views of the Chicago River.
