Description

Ah, the 4th.

A day to drink beer. A day to watch colorful explosions in the sky. A day to eat copious amounts of encased meats.

For the purposes of this discourse, we’ll assume you have the first two covered.

As for the last: enter Duck Inn Dogs.

It’s the newest addition to Revival Food Hall in the form of a quick-service pop-up restaurant from the team at the Duck Inn. It’s open now and, yes… there will be hot dogs. Hot dogs that look like this.

If you’re looking for a place to go nuts on some elevated meat tubes, here it is. Let’s see, there’s the classic Original dog, Chicago-style of course. Then there’s the Frankenduckie, which is a bacon-wrapped number with Wisconsin cheese sauce and jalapeño relish. You could try the chili cheese dog, too. Or the Elote Corn Dog with lime crema, tajin mustard and queso fresco. They take these things seriously here.

But if those things aren’t your things, they’re also serving burgers, chili cheese fries, cheese curds and other fine examples of deliciousness to make you feel better about the July heat.

And we know you’re wondering about libations. Yes, they have those. In the form of the Pineapple Fizz with sparkling pineapple juice and either tequila, vodka, rum, or mezcal. But also: vanilla soft serve floats and something they’re calling “Hot Dog Water.” Don’t worry, it’s just a collaboration beer with local heroes Illuminated Brew Works.

Tastes more citrusy than hot dog-y.
