An Appetizing New Reason to Hit the Asian Art Museum

An Appetizing New Reason to Hit the Asian Art Museum

Description

Feels like a good weekend to take in a little culture.

And a lot of fried chicken sandwiches.

At Sunday at the Museum, a pan-Asian cafe which, despite the name, is now open every day but Monday in the newly revamped Asian Art Museum, from the team behind Sunday Bird and Boba Guys.

You and another beautiful soul with a shared love of culture and kimchi fries will admire the museum’s impressive façade, then move thoughtfully amongst some exhibits, offering concise, well-thought-out opinions as your hunger builds for the main attraction: lunch.

Leading you to peruse the menu at this aesthetically ascetic cafe of whites and light, live edge tables and benches, diving into a Pacific odyssey that starts with miso avocado toast and oyakodon rice bowls with chicharron, and most likely ends on kimchi fries and fried chicken sandwiches on bao buns. If everyone’s still thinking straight after the scintillating calligraphy.

Also, since the Boba Guys are involved, there will be matcha lattes, leaf-brewed jasmine milk tea boba and espresso to go with everything. And in the coming weeks, they’ll begin supplying the museum’s late Thursday hours with beer and wine over happy hour.

So you can finally finish your beer-chicken-late-hours triptych.
