There’s a courtyard oasis in Downtown that’s been serving lamb and wine right under your nose.

Tell you what, though. We’ll stop the madness and let you know that Alloy Bistro Gourmet is open right now, it’s kind of hidden, and it looks nice.
Once you branch off from an unassuming pedestrian walkway, you’ll find a garden-y courtyard with soaring archways, Tunisian mosaic tiles and whitewashed charm from corner to corner. Take that in. Then, step inside to find candlelit, handmade wooden tables and the intense urge to have a date with you.
Oh, good. You have a date with you.
You’ll need that person to help decide what will make its way from the open kitchen to your table. The menu changes every day, but there’s a strong French and Tunisian influence happening. So you might find squid ink risotto one night and chargrilled octopus the other.
Regardless, there will be wine. There will be laughter. There might be a pineapple that’s been slow-cooked for 36 hours for dessert.
Which just seems so excessive, but you’ll allow it.
