It Doesn’t Have a Name, but It Does Have Dumplings

Description

Names are so overrated.

Just ask No Name Chinese, the new spot for dumplings in South Miami.

What it lacks in a catchy moniker, it more than makes up for with food that tends to be more delicious than not. But that’s something you and your date will see for yourselves when it opens on Thursday. Here’s the slideshow in the meantime.

Once that fateful day comes, grab two of the 10 seats situated around the kitchen’s wok station for a peek at what goes on inside. Start with a nice glass of wine at the sommelier’s suggestion. Discuss tannins and mouth feels and how all the white tile, touches of brick and navy walls remind you of anything but a typical Chinese restaurant setting.

The menu is from the guy behind Trust and Company, and it’s ripe with local everything, right down to the chocolate in the flourless chocolate almond cake. All in due time, though.

First, you must reckon with the Angry Dumpling with spicy chicken, garlic sauce and a crunchy garlic bomb.

So… maybe make it a fourth date.
