Many Foods and Drinks and Prints on the Bowery

Description

Science has recently discovered that breakfast is not actually the most important meal of the day. None of them are.

But we’d like to make the case for lunch.

And to suggest the Bowery Market, a collection of some of your finer food and beverage purveyors in mostly takeout form and housed in an old auto body shop. It’s open now in NoHo.

Let’s run this place down:

Alidoro

The SoHo Italian sandwich specialists who’re bringing their prosciutto, hot peppers, mushroom paste, porchetta, fresh mozzarella and other supplies and putting them on bread for you.

The Butcher’s Daughter

That place with the cold-pressed juices and suspiciously healthy breakfast burritos in Nolita that always has the ridiculous crowds and lines, because of the quality of the juices and breakfast burritos.

Pulqueria

The first one is where you get Blackfoot pork tacos, grilled fish ones and spicy piña coladas served in pineapples in a hidden basement along tiny Doyers Street in Chinatown. This version is where you get those things at a kiosk, probably for lunch. Yeah, even the pineapple-vesseled piña colada.

Champion Coffee

We’ll start with the obvious—coffee. Usually in Greenpoint. Now here (more obviousness). About the coffee: they’ll have one exclusive to here, which is the Maple Cortado, a blend of milk, maple syrup and espresso.

Sushi on Jones

Omakase sushi bento boxes. Of seafood. Nigiri and rolls, to be exact.

Hey, why not have a look around?
