Description

A brief list of your date-night needs:

A cozy table on a patio.

Views of the Bay.

Handmade pasta.

A new restaurant on the Embarcadero.

Normally, this would be nigh impossible. But luckily for you, Donato Restaurant Group has opened their first San Francisco location, bringing you all of that. And more. And more…

Set course for Cento Osteria, a collaboration between two Italian chefs set in a big, beautiful space that’s now open along the waterfront with that patio and views to match. Check out the menu and the slideshow.

You and your lovely companion will walk in and notice the high ceilings and dark woods before being escorted to the table you requested on the patio. Yes, you brought your coats. You get how this place works by now.

Safely ensconced outside, you’ll warm yourselves up with some wine or one of the rotating house cocktails like a Sesamo with pisco, pineapple rum, sesame and lemon. Or their Italian take on a Moscow Mule—the Mulo—with vodka, cassis, limoncello and ginger beer. When in Rome, right?

Conversation will be flowing easily by this point, and you’ll eventually decide to start eating things. Begin with house-cured beef with castroville artichoke and parmigiano before moving onto housemade pappardelle with boar and Sangiovese sauce. Or a New York Strip. Or a pizza from the woodfired oven.

Pretty much everything pairs with Bay views.
