Today we confront an unfortunate truth about society at large: there is an utter dearth of facilities in this country that allow one to legally race Ferrari Italia 458s and Lamborghini Gallardos.
It’s a travesty, we know. But lucky for you, it’s one that the universe is trying its damnedest to remedy.
Starting with news of Speedvegas—a new racetrack where you can drive fast cars really, really fast to the dropped jaws of your adoring fans (read: three enthusiastic friends), soft-open now just south of the Strip. See it in action right here.
Used to be, you’d have to star in a car commercial or alongside Vin Diesel in Fast 1,456 to get this sort of experience. Now, all you have to do is pick one of 16 vehicles—be it a Porsche 911 GT or Mercedes-AMG—get in (with your coach) and hit Speedvegas’s 1.5-mile, Formula 1–inspired track. So… this is easier.
If you’d rather watch, they’ll soon have a welcome center with a café and an observation deck for your viewing pleasure. And if you’d prefer to simply ride along with a professional driver, you can do that, too, with an experience they call the “Drift Package.”
