Ramen-san has opened on Green Street in the West Loop with new bowls and new libations. Try their Spicy Yuzu with smoked chicken, or their Japanese Katsu Curry ramen. Then try their tropical cocktails like the Capri-San that’s super pineapple-y. Repeat as necessary.
SEEING VIOLET
On Friday evening, Revival Food Hall will transform into the Violet Hour, complete with the swanky speakeasy’s candles, cozy furniture, absinthe droppers and of course, cocktails. That last part being the important part.
BEER HERE
This weekend, Chicago Ale Fest will feature live music, food trucks and over 200 craft beers. So yes, you’re in for a grand time. Especially when you head to the “Impossible-to-Get Beer Tent” to sample wares from five breweries that aren’t available in Illinois. Wares. So many wares.
CAMP OF APPROVAL
Campfire-inspired food. Bottled “bug juice.” Oversized hot dogs and fireside grilled cheeses. S’mores with boozy marshmallows. Live music. Monthly cocktail classes. We could go on, but then you’d already know everything that’s going to be happening at Camp Dawson. Close one.
ROOF POSITIVE
Monday feels like as good a day as any to watch Black Panther on the roof of theWit. And other movies on other Monday nights. It’s their new movie series and, yes, there’s gratis popcorn. Though we probably had you at roof.
ELECTRIC FEEL
They’re completely electric, which means you won’t break a sweat on that commute to work. In non-work news: Ibiza, a new comedy from producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, is officially unofficially the funniest Netflix original movie to date. And speaking of Netflix, here’s where we grade what’s coming to and leaving the platform in June.
