Purple Reign

Let’s just get right to it today.

It being this bar wrapped in a rooftop lounge and restaurant inside a hotel on the LES.

Sure, we’ll go on.

To Hotel Indigo and Mr. Purple, an artsy combo on Ludlow that is those things we just said. It’s opening tonight.

The restaurant’s called Mr. Purple. It’s from Gerber Group. (Those guys behind the Roof and the Viceroy and Kingside. They have a way with hotels.) They’ll be doing that here with mussels, burgers, tuna tartare and other things you’re unlikely to tire of.

And said restaurant can be found right next to the rooftop lounge, with its whiskey punch and spiked hot chocolate.

And said lounge can be found right next to the pool, where you may consider dipping a toe as you survey those utterly majestic views.
