30,000-Square-Feet of Lobster Fries, Gin and Virtual Reality Dragon-Slaying

The Instagram-friendly adult funhouse opens tomorrow in Fulton Market, and there’s a lot going on to say the least. 30,000-square-feet of a lot, to be exact. You might need a map. Here’s why.

Naturally, you’ll enter into a fake laundromat. It’s unique to the Chicago location and its wall of pale pink and green washers mark the entrance of a sock hop-ready soda fountain that’s actually just the first of three bars you’re going to drink in tomorrow night.

Start with a banana brandy-spiked milkshake and make your way upstairs to, drumroll please, the diner. Located in the center of the action, that’s where you’ll steak your claim to a plaid booth and watch the parade of lobster bacon fries and “OMFG Southern Fried Chicken.”

Ready to move on? Great, because your bowling lane is ready. You’ll notice that they sell socks. In a shoe cage. That’s also filled with board games.

And surely you weren’t planning on leaving without seeing the Holiday Lounge. It’s decked out with exposed brick and bookshelf wallpaper, and has a fireplace and a giant Scrabble board. Oh, and an arcade and karaoke lounge. But if VR dragon-slaying is more your speed, sure, they have that, too.

Your nightcap comes with a backdrop of shipping containers and bocce. It’s the 360 Bar, named for its circular shape. A short walk down the hall and you’re back at the beginning, probably.

Other than that, pretty low-key place.
