Mai Tai Slushies in a Bar Disguised as an Old-School Supermarket

Enough pretending it’s 5 o’clock somewhere.

Today, it’s 4/20 everywhere.

Which may or may not be the reason the O.G., Delray Beach’s new neighborhood bar, decided to open its doors on this exact date. It’s nice in there. Take a look around.

Then, grab a group before heading to the grand opening tonight. You’ll know you’ve landed in the right spot when you reach what looks like an old grocery store, complete with old soda ads plastered out front. The theme carries over inside with a market aisle-like setup and fresh produce displayed in market-style crates.

Ah, now you get it. O.G. stands for “old grocery.”

But there’s also the matter of the vintage Florida-meets-Palm-Springs vibe with jewel tones, neutral hues and furniture that time forgot. And an original Ms. Pac-Man arcade game. For good measure.

But unlike a traditional supermarket, this one has a fully stocked bar. And Frozen Unicorn Tears, a housemade frozen mai tai slushie garnished with rainbow sprinkles. There’s also the Hillbilly Martini, a whiskey-and-cold-brew concoction, on tap. Head to the wooden bar, park yourself on a stool and have at them.

Or make your way to the custom wood booths to hang for bit. There are gratis cups of popcorn, which will be good should the munchies inevitably set in.
