Description

How does a 15,000-square-foot concert venue with a sister cocktail bar and game parlor with three bowling lanes and comfort food sound?

Don’t answer that.

Instead, just merrily make your way to Fifth Arrow and August Hall, a new cocktail lounge/restaurant and concert venue, respectively, that are open now in the Tenderloin by some industry vets with nearly half the city on their collective resume. Check out the slideshow.

You and your group or date or group date will enter via the lobby that the two venues share and immediately head underground to Fifth Arrow. There, you’ll be greeted with an old-school gaming parlor complete with Union Square’s only three bowling lanes.

Having already put your name in for one of those, take your time with a Long Weekend, a blended-scotch concoction with pink grapefruit, tamarind and tropical IPA. Maybe test your skills at Skee-Ball. And when you’re damn good and ready, head to your lane and do your thing while watching other professional athletes play on six screens throughout the venue.

And to fuel your various endeavors: a comfort food menu with anything from grilled calamari to pizza. Time will fly. You’ll realize your show is about to start. Which, yes, is when you’ll head back upstairs to the city’s newest concert venue, August Hall.

Oh, and if you need a break up there, head to the private cocktail bar tucked away behind the marquee, dubbed the Green Room.

Somebody give the naming-things guy a raise.
