Fine, but at least we get a bunch of great new places to quaff away the humidity.

Prime example: Bitter Truth, a new spot for late-night punch bowls, red velvet waffle lollipops and hip-hop of the old-school variety, now open in Midtown. Check it out.

Four barkeeps from the likes of Radio Bar and Shelborne have joined forces to bring you this industrial space with weathered steel, murals painted by a local artist and a bar in the back made from unfinished Dade pine.

That bar is where you’ll end up this weekend, drinking punch by the bowl with friends. Drinking whiskey cocktails with cardamom shrub and Granny Smith apple juice with friends. Drinking all sorts of things with friends.

And since you’ll probably need sustenance at some point, they’ve got those red velvet waffle lollipops and biscuits stuffed with pulled beef and bacon-maple jam to see you through.
