Cut to El Tejano, a colorful new champion of Texican cuisine bearing the kinds of patio games and agave consumption such a thing demands, opening tomorrow in North Hollywood. Check out the slideshow.

It looks like a small piece of Austin hitched a ride to the Valley and set up there with a central bar under paintings of pink cow skulls and a mural of an underdressed cowgirl atop a brick of Velveeta. You know… that.

It also provides a sizable outdoor patio where a person like you could do some day drinking with friends. You’ll call for the good tequila and pick between 21 options for an 18-ounce beer chaser. Or perhaps jump straight into that beef-jerky-topped michelada or Moscow Mules from the Tito’s tap. Decisions are hard.

Eventually, Frito pie, smoked deviled eggs and brisket tacos will make appearances to support your spirited banter, cornhole bouts and frenzied clashes over the enormous version of Connect Four.
