The Annual Winter Jazzfest Is Going Down This Week

The annual Winter Jazzfest will be happening in historic jazz venues in Greenwich Village (along with a couple in the East Village and Tribeca) over the next week. 

Jazz-lovers can acquire individual tickets to events that range from jazz talks on sexism, immigration and protest with iconic musicians, to DJ sets at the new Nublu by Gilles Peterson and Dave Harrington. Ravi Coltrane will also be doing a special set called Universal Consciousness, centered on the melodic meditations of his mother, Alice Coltrane, which honestly sounds like a must for any person with ears.
