You say it’s the place you’re about to spend a lot less time in because here’s a fine new establishment where you can get a damn good drink at 5am.
That establishment is 1306, and it’s a homey cocktailing nook serving up heady concoctions into the wee hours, now open in Downtown.
This is in the former White Room space. The one that sat empty and brooding for a few years. That is, until the guys behind Grand Central came along and gave it a completely new feel. Dark damask wallpaper, potted plants, suede armchairs and wooden curios will do that to a place. (See for yourself right here.)
You’ll find it by locating the bright-red sign that reads “bar.” And they’ve got a Broken Shaker vet mixing drinks until 5am with suspicious names like the Mostly Harmless involving mezcal, sweet vermouth and Aperol. In case of misnomers, they’ve got plates of meats and cheeses, too.
Out back, you’ll find a charming garden courtyard and a private back room for hosting events for up to 400 of your closest friends.
