Description

“Can’t wait for Monday.” Congratulations. You get to say that now. Hat tip to Federales, a lofty taco-and-tequila-driven watering hole with a giant retractable roof, a beer garden and its very own trolley. It opens Monday in Fulton Market, it’s the second collaboration between Brendan Sodikoff and Four Corners Tavern Group, and this is what it looks like. More often than not, you’ll find yourself here once you leave the office. Probably drinking beers with hot-sauce-lined rims and frozen hibiscus margaritas in leather booths that wouldn’t be out of place in some humble taqueria south of the border. Or, if you’re not inside, situated under the string lights in the beer garden, growing delirious from the pervasive scent of slow-smoked meats. Eventually, you’ll request some crispy pork belly al pastor and brisket tacos. Your meat-induced delirium will subside. Everything will return to normal. Until you recall that you’d rented out their custom trolley to squire you and your companions around town, along with more tacos, more margaritas and more everything. We’ll tackle “Can’t wait for Tuesday” some other time.
