Description
Pitchfork celebrates its 21st birthday this weekend, and as is only fitting, they’ll be throwing a birthday bash and concert Saturday night to mark the occasion. The event will feature performances by Animal Collective, Moses Sumney, (Sandy) Alex G and Topaz Jones—all artists who have been added to the site’s “Best New Music” list over the years.
It’s all going down at Queens’ Knockdown Center, where Animal Collective (Avey Tare and Panda Bear) will perform their classic album, “Sung Tongs,” in its entirety for the very first time. Goose Island will be supplying the beer, and there will be a vinyl lounge with a curated selection of Pitchfork’s top albums from the past 21 years, too.
The event has been sold out for a while now, but we went ahead and secured a free pair of tickets for you. Just head over to SILHO NYC and throw us like—we’ll choose a winner from our new list of Facebook comrades this Friday.
Dec 2, 9pm, Pitchfork’s 21st at Knockdown Center, 52-19 Flushing Ave (at 54th St), Maspeth, 347-915-5615
