We meant “The beginning.” We screwed that story all up. Anyway, the Treasury just happened in FiDi. It’s got good drinks. It’s got elevated bar food. It’s got an all-star team behind it involving people from Range, Absinthe and Bacar. And it opens Wednesday.
Upon entering, you’ll feel like you’re in a 19th-century, New York Gilded Age watering hole. There’s a dramatically curving bar, marble and mahogany details, and ornate chandeliers that will make you think something like, “This is a very good-looking bar.” Here, see for yourself.
The nice vibes and its central downtown location will make this an obvious play for after-work drinks. Maybe you’ll make merry over a round of Shark Tanks with whiskey, huckleberry, coconut and absinthe. Maybe you’ll just sit there and eat oysters. Either way, they have a menu, and it’s a good menu.
And, right. Three levels of caviar service exist here: Estate, Select and Reserve. Each of which comes with brioche, crème fraîche, chives and quail eggs.
