This is about as low-key as this town is going to get on New Year’s Eve: a five-course tasting menu featuring foie gras toast, scallops with truffled cabbage and fine champagne amidst gold votive candles, masquerade masks and balloons at Fleur. So… not low-key at all.
BACK IN BLACK
Take The Great Gatsby, add ice sculptures, some over-the-top chandeliers, live sax and an open bar, subtract all the sad parts about excess and the dangers of the American Dream, and voilà—you’ve got Bellagio’s New Year’s Eve black-tie gala. Sorry for mentioning the sad parts.
BEFORE AND AFTER
From 9pm to midnight: You’re hanging out with a two-hour premium open bar and Snoop Dogg
at Tao.
After midnight: You’re getting gratis access to Lavo’s New Year’s Eve party.
