The Houston Brothers Are At It Again…

Description

2am.

The dance floor’s empty.

The drinks have stopped flowing.

The lights are going up.

This is going to be awesome.

Mostly because everyone’s headed back to the Speek, five aggressively attractive private rooms at the Line Hotel designed by the Houston brothers for pre-and-post-whatever-ing, now booking for any and all overnight and after-hours scenarios. Check it out here.

These are well-tailored crash/party pads with a fixation on late-’60s/early-’70s design. Eames chairs, Playboy martini glasses, lava lamps, parquet floors, shapely Malm-ish fireplaces, Shepard Fairey art… We could go on. But let’s just say one thing is missing. You. And your friends. Okay, a few things.

The plan: check in after 3. Order a bottle of something pending everyone’s arrival. Hang out consuming said bottle until dancing hour. Next, venture downstairs to Break Room 86, now that you’ve attained VIP access and all. Dance. Consider additional spirit-based sustenance. Engage in a little karaoke.

Finally, bring the party back to the room come closing time. Continue the revelry in the throw-pillow-lined pit and concoct more drinks in the bar area. Consider ordering your own karaoke machine straight to the room. There are salons for just hanging out and full rooms with beds if you plan on pillow fighting.

Or, like, sleeping.
