The weekend can keep a secret if you can.

FROM PERKS
Six Bottles of Argentina’s Finest Malbec: Yours
It’s no secret that Argentina bears some of the most delicious Malbec in the world. And this bottle with notes of blackberry, raspberry and violet is no exception. So you should be excited to hear that we have them by the half dozen. We presume you’re losing your mind somewhere out there.

The Only Thing Crazier Than a Game 7 Is...
Crazy time in Chicago. The election’s the election. Game 7’s happening. And something called Burrito Lab has usurped the kitchen at Surf, producing Hawaiian-y pork shoulder burritos, vegan burritos with hemp hearts and, for a limited time, Chicago-style hot dog burritos. So, yeah, they’re flying that W pretty fucking hard.
LAND OF THE LOST
The Moral of This Story Is Most Definitely Rum
Renowned tiki drink enthusiast Paul McGee collaborated on an overproof rum called Plantation O.F.T.D., and it’s finally available in Chicago. So tonight, he’s throwing a little launch party at Lost Lake with O.F.T.D. Old Fashioneds, O.F.T.D. Daiquiri Frappes and a fruity drink served in a pineapple. It too contains rum.

FOREVER TONGUE
Chocolate Churro Porters and a Two-Item Food Menu
A few awesomely funky things about Moody Tongue’s new tasting room. 1) The chocolate churro porter, the bourbon-barrel-aged barleywine and the eight other beers on tap. 2) The bottom of this menu, which includes just one salty and one sweet item. 3) The feeling you get when you put 1 and 2 together.

STRANGER THINGS
Caviar Mac and Cheese Plays a Part in This
At Saturday’s Mac and Cheese Fest, the city’s finest chefs are making you the eponymous American dish with everything from Wagyu beef to caviar. Then, at Sunday’s first-ever Strange Foods Chicago Festival, you’re sampling pig feet pozole, Croatian sausages and pho shooters. Should be an interesting weekend.
