Description

Today we tackle the monster Union Fare, an enormous landmarked warehouse full of all those things above. It’s just off of Union Square. Pertinent facts below: The schedule: The café, which turns into a wine bar at night, is open now. The restaurant, beer bar and cocktail bar will follow next Wednesday, and the market and bakery will come alive sometime soon after that. The restaurant will find you consuming crispy baked chicken and lobster linguine… … and charcuterie and raw bar things. You’ve got a balsamic-base cocktail at the cocktail bar. With sherry and fresh fruit. Also, 10 rotating draft beers at the beer bar. Cream-filled croissants rule the bakery. Birthday cake, crème brûlée and green tea are cream flavors here. In the café, there are draft lattes. Draft lattes from La Colombe, originator of the draft latte. The market will find you wandering a series of street food stalls, poke, pizza, salad, etc. We’re running out of space here. Just assume that, if you want something, they’ll have it. Aside from sustenance… The restaurant has chairs made of repurposed car tires. Reclaimed wood, your long-overdue retirement has come. There’s a lot of reclaimed wood, too. Damn it. Fine. It all looks very much like this set of photos portrays. This one here.
