Beyond the industrial mass of the EDM dance space known as Schimanski, and beyond your hangover, lie some
brunchtime innovations that are as close to absolute truth as you’re going to get in 2017.
They’re at Bar Schimmi, a neon, holographic space for meals and drinks before, between and after dances.
It’s now open behind the club for brunch and rolling out dinner and bar times soon.
Things that are neon here: Barack Obama (2007 flashbacks are heavy in this case), Madonna
and Hillary.
Things that are holographic: The tables along the wall banquette. Meaning Daft Brunch will
now have psychedelic rainbow eating surfaces, which… overdue.
Things that go in your mouth: Right now it’s just brunch, e.g., brunch fries, which are
fried potatoes smothered with hollandaise, country ham and sautéed onions and peppers. Another option is
the brunch burger, a massive double cheeseburger with thick-cut Polish bacon (the people’s bacon), a fried
egg and their own special sauce. See those

Things that will eventually go in your mouth: Dinner and evening bar service will be live
shortly. They’re working diligently on a cocktail list.
Things that will go on other than all that: Live music and comedy.
