Maman & Mimi: A Cozy Neighborhood Spot for French-Algerian

Nolita’s latest for authentic French-Algerian comes to us in the form of Maman & Mimi, a cozy new spot from restaurateur Jacques Ouari, now open on Prince Street.

Inside, you’ll find a richly decorated interior that’s all red patterned walls, beaded and glass chandeliers and tufted leather banquettes. The kind of place to come with a couple friends for platters of moules frites, chicken tajine and swiss-topped black Angus burgers on brioche buns. They’ve got a solid al fresco set up, as well—so sit outside with some shakshuka and blood orange mimosas on a Saturday, or come by early evening for mushroom-truffle flatbreads and too many glasses of European wine.
