Description

Moruno. It’s Spanish and it roughly translates to:

“Glorious place from two Mozza vets that makes you want to eat at the Farmers Market again.”

Roughly.

Yes, Moruno. It’s finally here to occupy your evenings with Iberian-accented skewers, rotisserie meats and drinks bearing proprietary vermouth. See the slideshow and the menu.

Great new date place. All snug, candlelit and fetching under corrugated metal in the old Short Order space.

We see at least three ways to approach your night here.

Getting familiar at the bar.
It’s along the open kitchen with only five stools. So expect a little knee grazing and insane tortilla española views while quaffing tempranillo. Or Negronis made with the draft red and white vermouth they’re making with Palmina Wines. There’s also an Inigo Montoya cocktail. No “prepare to die” jokes, please.

Grabbing dinner on the enclosed patio.
It’s nice. Your table will have pimento tins filled with succulents on it. It’ll also have lamb leg skewers, whole fish a la plancha and rotisserie pork shoulder on it. Then there’s you guys. Sitting there eating those things. Hi.

Waiting for Bar Vermut.
That’s the 14-seat vermouth destination opening upstairs in about four to six weeks.

In case you’re wondering what you’ll be up to four to six weeks from now.
