Ms. Cheezious Plants a Flag in the Gables

Average Reviews

John Montagu, the Fourth Earl of Sandwich.

He’s the alleged creator of the sandwich.

But we can’t verify that. Sorry about your next party’s icebreaker.

What we can confirm is that a new Ms. Cheezious, purveyor of the finest grilled cheeses in the land, is now open in the Gables. Here, have a very delicious slideshow.

Indeed, the maestros of the sandwich known as “grilled cheese” have planted yet another flag in a spot filled with bread, cheese, pinup art and a bunch of milkshakes.

Naturally, you want to know about the food. Allow us to oblige…

The classics are all here.
Like the Frito pie they’ve stuffed between two slices of sourdough bread. And the Croqueta Monsieur, exhibiting the hallmarks of a proper monsieur (ham, swiss cheese and béchamel) with the delicious breaded Cuban goodness of a ham croqueta.

But you can build your own, too.
Gruyère, bacon, buffalo tempeh—get crazy. (Maybe tempeh’s pushing it.)

“I’ll have the chocolate shake with chocolate-covered potato chips, a chocolate-and-peanut-dipped pretzel, caramel corn, whipped cream and sprinkles, please.”
Uttering those words here is a good idea.

There’s beer.
Just saying. There’s beer.
