It’s 4:17 pm on a Thursday and you can’t decide between potato-and-cheese pierogis or a tropical snow cone.

Now it’s 12:51 am, late Saturday night, and you come stumbling out, after having a few at one of the cool-kid bars that line Main Street. You say to yourself, “You know what sounds good right now? Curry goat.”

Now, it’s the time where we introduce you to Urban Foodcourt, where those first two occasions can be safely navigated.

If you’ve been to Portland, OR, you understand the format here—a blockchain of mobile food vendors form some sort of orderly pattern in another otherwise nondescript parking lot, plying you with their delicious foods and drinks. Of the 105 such vendors in Vegas, 35 have already committed to spending some time at this new venture (which you can see here). Plus, the organizers plan to stay open each day as long the as vendors want to be there. Translation: a potential 24/7/365 outdoor food court.

There’s also a market at which you can buy the kind of trinkets that make people who visit your place say, “OMG, where did you get this?!” You’re also strongly encouraged to take your tacos or whatnot to where there’s a DJ.

Sorry, a “mobile musical sound purveyor.”
