A Few More Ways You Can Help Our Neighbors to the North

Average Reviews

Description

As you well know, some pretty terrible stuff is happening up north. We wish our very best to those affected by this disaster and hope you and your loved ones stay safe and out of harm’s way.

In the meantime, here are a few resources to help those in need, including plenty of local options where your otherwise routine outings will be contributing to the cause.

And away we go…

—Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund
—Sonoma County Resilience Fund
—American Red Cross
—Mendocino County Disaster Fund
—GoFundMe California Fire Relief
—Volunteer Center of Sonoma County
—Donate Your Home on Airbnb

From Oct 16-22, this El Cerrito brewery is donating $1 from every one of their beers sold to fire relief efforts.

Fort Point Beer Company
The local beer company is accepting donations at their brewery, as they will be using their trucks to head north. Oct 16, 6am-8pm

SF Fights Fire
Several area restaurants are donating their spaces and supplies to make food for evacuees. Sign up on the website to volunteer.

Concert at Bottom of the Hill
Vice Reine, the opener for tonight’s concert, will be donating their portion of door and merch sales to the fire relief effort, and they’ll be accepting gift card donations for evacuees at their merch table. Oct 16, 8:30pm-1am, $10

Zuni Cafe
The SF mainstay will be doing various things throughout the coming weeks to help raise money for the affected areas. Already, they’ve donated all proceeds from a night’s sales of North Bay-raised squab, with varied, similar promotions to follow.

Tope
100% of all sales and proceeds from Thursday’s event will be going to Red Cross and Northern CA Fires. There will also be a silent auction and donation box. Oct 19, 5-10pm

Winemakers & Sommeliers for California Wildfire Relief
They’ll be hosting two events which will include rare wine auctions full of wines provided from collectors, somms and distributors. All proceeds will go to the Napa Valley Community Foundation.

Chefsgiving
100 restaurants, delis and bakeries will be donating $100 per guest/item to relief efforts. The ways they do so can range from special menus (a la Restaurant Week) to ticketed events to a portion of sales of a certain item. The website will launch later this week with new additions, so check in often. Nov 13-19
