In an alternate universe, Trump is still posted up in a gilded tower creating reality television, my
neighbor isn’t an 80-year old crank who complains about music after 8pm and this Memorial Day weekend
would be perfect for rosé on a yacht’s sunny rooftop.
But hey, that’s just not the universe we live in.
We do, however, live in a world where this tragically ideal boat is sitting pretty up on Pier 81, just
waiting for the day you choose to visit, oh-so-soon.
So file away a place called Hudson’s: a three-story yacht for Mediterranean, dancing, and rooftop hangs,
now open.
When the time is right, you’ll find yourself with a date in the bright, colorful, sort of ’70s throwback
dining room, surrounded by plates of black truffle burrata, wild mushroom parpardalle and olive gremolata-topped
branzino. Or maybe you’ll find yourself early evening on the expansive rooftop sipping something full of
rum, pear and mint. Could also be a Sunday afternoon doing bottomless mimosa brunch with a group of people
you like doing such things with. It all depends on when said time is right.
