But today, let’s talk about the short ribs.

Specifically, those from Botequim, an underground powerhouse of Brazilian dinners, opening tomorrow near Union Square. The breakdown, right this way…

The vibe: Abandoned subway station (with Keith Haring tags) meets charming communal loft. Seriously, have a look in the slideshow. 

The lineage: It’s from the couple who brought you Tocqueville and 15 East, which worked out.

The move: Group dinner. Bask at one of the communal tables, consume caipirinhas in abundance and learn the true meaning of rib steak for two.

The meal: We mentioned the short ribs. They’re in the feijoada (Brazilian meat stew). We failed to mention the suckling pig and the Brazilian sausage.
