Tonight.
7:55pm.
You jam your hands into the pockets of your overcoat and hunch in the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge,
cursing the chill.
“But wait,” you think as you emerge into the south side of the neighborhood. “I’m meeting a
promising human being for hearty Italian food at Barano. All is well. I should unjam these hands of
mine.”
This scene brought to you by Barano, a huge Southern Italian date and group dinner spot that’s opening
tonight.
One of the men responsible for Rubirosa is responsible for this, too, so that’s a big one in the pro
column. More pros: wood-fired pizzas, a ludicrously elaborate salumi platter and so very many wines
(menu here).
Let’s look at some of
these things, eh?
