We Designed You the Perfect Raincoat

Meet the Valentijn raincoat. We designed it exclusively in collaboration with custom clothiers Sene just for
you. It’s part modern mac, part fishtail parka and entirely ready to shelter you from any lingering showers in style. And because each is
custom-tailored, yours will be the only one like it.

TAP OUT

Tap 42 Opens in Midtown. Flowing Beer Follows.

Yes, Midtown has a Tap 42 now. There’s a covered patio for eating rainbow sushi bowls, and a bar for
drinking a few of the 42 beers on tap. Oh, and there’s whiskey, bourbon and a weekday happy hour, which
also feels remarkably relevant.

SUMMER SESSIONS

            Your Date Will Like This

Here comes Babalu’s Summer Camp pop-up, where you can procure things for the special people in your life,
take them to the perfume bar and check out art installations ranging anywhere from fashion illustrations to
digital pop art. Take a date, is basically what we’re saying.

GARDEN PARTY

Well This Is Pretty Damned Charming

Turns out, happy hours and gardens set in lush backyards surrounded by coral-bordered ponds work well
together. Case in point: the one in Café Roval’s backyard, where a skilled barkeep will make you sake,
wine and beer cocktails infused to taste like whiskey drinks. Who knew…

Sunday

A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT

It’s a Backyard Barbecue. With People Walking on Stilts. At a Yacht Club.

Barbecues and Memorial Day go together like, well… that. Which explains why River Yacht Club is having a
two-day, backyard-style grilling fest with Korean-style short ribs and ginger barbecue chicken. Not to
mention entertainers walking on stilts, a DJ and you just sort of hanging out in the middle of everything.

LONG STRANGE WEEKEND

The Monday Brunch You Will Most Certainly Require

Sweet potato tater tots. Wood-oven-baked eggs. Pre-noon Bloody Mary’s. Ah, the glory of Monday brunch
during a long weekend. This one comes courtesy of Glass and Vine in the Grove. The others come courtesy of
pretty much no one.

On a typical Wednesday, Ginger Harris is likely seeking reposado tequila, squeezing her way to the front of a concert or jumping on the back of an Indian motorcycle. That’s just Wednesdays, though.
