We Designed You the Perfect Raincoat

Meet the Valentijn raincoat. We designed it exclusively in collaboration with custom clothiers Sene just for
you. It’s part modern mac, part fishtail parka and entirely ready to shelter you from April showers in style. And because each is custom
tailored, yours will be the only one like it.

INTO THE WOODLEY

Fill Those Churros With Foie, We Say

Bartender Devon Espinosa has a new home in Encino. It’s Woodley Proper, a comfortable place where he makes
you bourbon-and-Becherovka cocktails while Phillip Frankland Lee prepares foie-gras-mousse-stuffed churro
bites. And, yes, there’s a liquid ode to Encino Man on the menu. As you suspected there would be.

Friday

MR. NICE GUY

Tyler Wells Has Some New Coffee and Donuts for You

First, Tyler Wells coinvented Handsome Coffee Roasters. Now, he’s opening Nice, a Downtown Financial
District coffee bar with a patio, sandwiches, housemade donuts and 49th Parallel coffee. Quite wise to
diversify into donuts.

Saturday

BEY MATTER

            Pay Poolside Tribute to Beyoncé

Beyoncé apparently had something better to do than entertain you at Coachella. Fine. You’ll just drop in
on JW Marriott’s tribute party. The pool will have a spiked lemonade stand, the DJ will be dropping her
tunes, and you’ll take everything in from a street taco pop-up. Despite its sorta tenuous Beyoncé
connection.

THE HUNGER GAME

            It’s a Burger. A Dodger Dog Burger.

Dodger games. You’re going for Kershaw’s curve and Gonzalez’s swing. But if one of the stadium’s new
beer-sauced burgers topped with Dodger dogs happened to fall into your hand, you’d accept it. And if you
also happened to find yourself at the new loaded tater tot stand… well, that should probably just happen.

Sunday

TWO FOR THE BUNNY

Easter Brunch, Just With More Peruvian Ribs

There’s nothing that says Easter brunch can’t be made out of Peruvian baby backs and ceviche at Picca.
Or enjoyed on Momed’s newly revamped patio, where this Sunday kicks off a weekly music series with a DJ
playing some breezy, jazzy global stuff. You know, brunch music.

Hadley Tomicki lives in Los Angeles. He is probably going nowhere on the 10 Freeway this very second.
