That glass masterpiece of a building at 1826 Collins Ave has a new restaurant beneath its roof. One with seafood towers and herb crusted halibut. Which explains its name: The Fish on 1826. And yet, doesn’t explain why you’ll also find beef filets, racks of lamb or a third-floor lounge. Oh well.
SOMETHING BLUE
Blue Bottle Coffee has set up shop at Aventura Mall with all the smeared toasts, Belgian waffles and approaching-legendary coffee you’d expect. And the fact that you’re in a mall and there’s still plenty of shopping to do is more or less a holiday miracle. Or maybe that’s just the coffee talking.
On a typical Wednesday, Ginger Harris is likely seeking reposado tequila, squeezing her way to the front of a concert or jumping on the back of an Indian motorcycle. That’s just Wednesdays, though.
