Which, incidentally, also works well on nachos. Ah, teamwork.

Big news: Chicago has its first Kurdish restaurant. It’s called the Gundis and it’s a rustic, handsome-looking place in Lincoln Park. It’s also your new go-to for spinach-and-goat-cheese-stuffed chicken, shish kebab wraps and brunch-time Kurdish crepes. Because you totally had a go-to place for those things before.
HEROES
Somehow, it’s already been a year since David Bowie passed. And, in his honor, the good people at Untitled are throwing a special cabaret show featuring a tap dancer, a burlesque rendition of “Starman” and 14 other Bowie-themed performances. We think he would approve.

Starting this Sunday, Publican Anker (aka Wicker Park’s Publican) is beginning its brunch service. This is a very good thing for the following reasons:
—French toast with bourbon custard.
—Roasted pepper and feta scrambles.
—Slagel ham with harissa and eggs.
Yes, we’re aware that all of our reasons are food.
