In our never-ending quest to keep you entertained, well fed, and safely out of the hoards of tourists when you find yourself in or around Times Square, today we have for you an attractive new hotel.
The name is Moxy Times Square, it’s open now and here’s what you need to know about it.
Following in the footsteps of Public, you’ll be doing all the checking in, checking out, bell hop-type stuff on your own.Â
Checking in at a waist-high automated station is starting to feel normal. (It is starting to feel normal, right?)
Up on the second floor: a nice lounge for posting up with your laptop while drinking rum-black cherry puree cocktails.
The space is called Bar Moxy, and it’s worth noting that their couches are significantly comfier than most couches.Â
It’s also a good place to find yourself if you’re in need of some sustenance.
That happens here in the form of chicken pibil, chorizo, pickled chillies and crema-topped naan; caramelized onion, ricotta, and hot honey-topped naan; other pleasing combinations of ingredients topped naan.Â
In the middle atrium, you’ll spot a rotating work of art by a chosen up-and-coming artist.Â
Right now, it’s a massive Keith Haring-inspired piece.
An all-season indoor/outdoor rooftop lounge is in the works, and it’s got an urban amusement park theme.
When it opens: nightly DJs, beautiful skyline views, much after theater drinks potential. The infamous TAO group is to thank.
And when you’re up there, there’s an off-menu “crash pad” option that will be quite easy on your wallet.

Other elements you can expect this fall: a seafood brasserie (Legasea), an egg sandwich shop (Egghead), and a curated convenience shop (The New Stand).
And that’s just as many puns as we can handle.
