Franklin’s Civil War Tour

On the morning of 1 December 1864, the small town of Franklin (population: 750) woke up to 9,500 casualties resulting from the clash of Union and Confederate forces. Some of the bloodiest hours in the Civil War took place here, and during this tour you’ll have the chance to visit key sites in the battle, including 19th-century homes, the Carter House and Lotz House.
