Look at All These People Who Want to Massage You
You deserve a massage. We have no factual basis for that statement, but it seemed like a good way to mention that you can find one for $50 at numerous spas around town now that Spa Week bookings are open. So that’s what we went with.
Thursday
YES WE CANTINA
Hark. A New Happy Hour Has Risen.
Too bad you can’t cut out midweek and run away to Baja. You can, however, cut out at 4, head to the new Baja-inspired happy hour at Lolo’s Surf Cantina and have margaritas, house-cut fries and carnitas tacos. That’s not exactly the same, but it’s close enough.
Saturday
VINYL TAP
Just Heaps of Vintage Vinyl at the Standard
If thumbing through rare record collections is your thing, you should probably note that El Donut Shoppe, the famous Orlando vinyl hub, is popping up at the Standard this weekend. Then, you should probably grab some like-minded friends and go there with them. If actual donuts are your thing… sorry?
HEY DJ
So Many DJs. And, No, It’s Not Ultra.
Not every DJ is playing at that one festival this weekend. No. Some will play in more chill environs like at 1306 Miami. See, there’s this mini music fest there, and you’ll basically just hang out under the moon and listen to DJs until 5am. We’ll also accept “earlier than 5am.”
Sunday
THAT’S YOUR Q
Pig, Punch and So Much in Between
Friendly reminder that Cochon555 Heritage BBQ is in town again on Sunday. Of note this year: a few talented sommeliers and bartenders serving competing wines and punches that you’ll get to try. Also of note: 1,500 pounds of pork.
On a typical Wednesday, Ginger Harris is likely seeking reposado tequila, squeezing her way to the front of a concert or jumping on the back of an Indian motorcycle. That’s just Wednesdays, though.
