Bouncing back after a long holiday weekend can be tough. Thankfully, Flores, a new Mexican restaurant from the good people behind Beretta, Delarosa and Super Duper, has opened with duck confit enchiladas, mezcal drinks and piles of fresh tortillas. Stay strong.
DOUBLE HEADER
Not that your post-Thanksgiving mind is on eating healthy or anything, but the new Project Juice in the Castro has protein soba noodles, squash salads and cold-pressed juices. And the new Split in Russian Hill has trout with roasted sunchokes, salads and… burgers. You’re not going for sainthood here.
CLAW BREAKER
The holiday season is all about appreciating life’s great gifts. Like Dungeness crab season, which you can celebrate with a grand crab feast at Fine & Rare, complete with garlic noodles, garlic bread and bottomless mimosas and beers. Those last two don’t have garlic.
PROM KING
Sometimes you like to pair a slim tie with a date who looks like Brigitte Bardot and dance to live ’60s soul and R&B. Fortunately, that’s what’s happening Saturday at Dusty Stax’s Winter Formal, which is back after a two-year hiatus. So… looks like that’ll be one of those times.

Holiday shopping is inevitable. Might as well make the most of it by attending the Holiday Market at the Progress, where you can procure things from local craftspeople while drinking cocktails and eating casual brunch fare. Which will be made at the Progress. Which suddenly makes shopping the best.
