Ace Hotel is here. Sort of. It’s not technically, officially open until September, but its restaurant called City Mouse, with its cornmeal griddle cakes and housemade pastas, is now open for brunch and dinner daily. Baby steps.

Ronero recently threw its hat into the ring with a South American-inspired feast with a made-to-order crepe station, queso fresco biscuits, a ceviche buffet and Bloody Mary cart. So that’s less difficult now.
