Alma Cocina is a new Peruvian restaurant two years in the making. It’s got ceviche and whole rotisserie chickens with chimichurri. And since you enjoy all of those things, it just seemed like those words probably should have been typed at some point today.
AND BE MERRY
Eat Drink SF, that annual party dedicated to all things edible and drinkable, returns this weekend with three days of tastings and demos. New this year are fine establishments like Monk’s Kettle, Black Cat, City Counter and Robin. Again, you eat and drink there.
WALL FLOWER
Head across the Bay this Saturday for a huge 10-year anniversary party at Rock Wall Wine Company, complete with a view of the San Francisco skyline, live music and the unveiling of 10 new wines with unlimited tastings. Probably should’ve led with the unlimited tastings.
DRAKE IT ‘TILL YOU MAKE IT
Speaking of anniversaries, Drake’s Brewing Company will be celebrating their 28th on Saturday by hosting a huge block party with giant beer pong and more than 25 brews on tap, including a 17% ABV monster called The Void. Which we don’t recommend using for beer pong.
CLASSY AFFAIR
You and a date will want tickets to Beretta’s cocktail class that’s happening on Tuesday. It’ll focus on post-WWII and Prohibition-era drinks and provide you with all the ingredients and hands-on instruction to make three cocktails together. Hence the wanting of the tickets.
