Just spit-balling here, a couple scenarios that may lead you towards The Dancer, a tiny cocktail bar from the Eastwood guys, now open on the LES—just a couple long strides from Eastwood.
We’ll keep this short and sweet, as you’ve basically got all you need to know about it already. It’s a nice little pocket of downtown that feels a bit like someone’s basement in the ’70s (they’re not the only ones in town on that tip): with a couple marble two-tops up front, a long bar with red leather stools, and a single curved tufted booth in the back if you’re lucky enough to snag it. Some vinyl spinning behind the bar. Drinks are well done versions of things you’ve seen before: Aviations, scotch Old Fashioneds, tiki-style rum drinks, whatever you want really. Should you need something to go with it, they can help with the likes of Acme smoked whitefish salad and chips, housemade popcorn, chicken liver mousse with crostini.
