A Spirited 24-Hour Irish Affair on the Strip

Average Reviews

California just keeps the gifts coming this week.

First you learned about the Raiders.

Now you’re hearing about all the corned beef nachos LA will feed you as you watch them.

At Rock & Reilly’s, a boisterous, all-day Irish bar from the Sunset Strip that loves whiskey, sports, meat and life’s other virtues, now open at Hawaiian Marketplace.

As it happens, the Raiders won’t arrive until about 2019. But that shouldn’t discourage you from entertaining corned beef nachos and 28 TVs here during the Final Four. Considering you need to develop your protein-slathered nacho dexterity for the season.

So gather the gang (you do have one, right?) and grab a four-top amid the hospitable, modern pub aesthetic. Start traditionally with a flight of Guinness and an Irish cheddar grilled cheese. Then, come halftime: savor the patio’s glorious Strip-scape with an Irish Mule. That contains their very own whiskey, the aptly named Mother’s Milk.

Depending on your team (or whoever you’ve wagered on), the second half may end well. Or not well. Whatever the outcome, understand this: you have a Reese’s sundae and over 50 whiskeys at your immediate disposal.

And surely one of those has to improve your disposition.
