You live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
It’s just that… sometimes it’s kind of hard to remember that while you’re in the thick of it.
Thankfully, we’ve got the perfect spot to jog your memory. All you have to do is get halfway across the Bay.
Welcome to Mersea, a new restaurant from two TI residents looking to bring a relaxing, communal space to island and city dwellers alike. It’s open now on the island, here’s the slideshow and, right… there’s a putting green and bocce court, too.
You and a date or some friends who also appreciate magnificent views will head over the Bay Bridge one hopefully sunny afternoon and land at this establishment that was made from 13 shipping containers.
Depending on the weather, ask to sit outside or grab a table near the floor-to-ceiling windows. Because, again, views of both bridges and the city skyline are still great. You’ll pry your eyes away to check out the comfort-food-forward menu filled with anything from the Dungeness crab melt to the Double Stacked Burger.
And drinks. Yes, they also have drinks. Grab a cocktail deploying the local Hanger One, or a hyper-local beer from Woods Beer Co. and head to that outdoor bocce court or the putting green.
Both of those have views, too.
