Carson Kitchen in Alpharetta’s City Center, the second location of chef/owner Cory Harwell’s popular Las Vegas restaurant, is built on a philosophy of reimagined comfort food prepared with approachable fine-dining ingredients. The menu is inspired by the food his grandmother made for him as a kid growing up in Woodstock, Georgia, and is served in a welcoming environment where guests can connect with family and friends. Originally a collaboration with celebrity chef and Harwell’s dear friend Kerry Simon, the restaurant features a menu with Southern influences offered in a familiar, recognizable way for guests to try foie gras, rabbit, frog’s legs and other ingredients not normally found in such a casual environment. Housed in a replica of the old 1848 Milton County courthouse Carson Kitchen features an open kitchen with a marble slab that serves as a chef’s table where guests can hang out with chefs as meals are prepared. In honor of Harwell’s friend and mentor, a mural of Kerry Simon, interpreted and painted by a local artist, adorns the patio wall of Carson Kitchen.
