PB&J Ice Cream Sandwiches and a Candy Wall at the Diplomat

Description
Ah, summer.
That magical Miami time of year that basically happens all the times of the year.
And with that, we give you… ice cream. Lots of it.
At Candy & Cones, a new purveyor of frozen delights that’s now open at the Diplomat and looks precisely like this.
You and your humidity ravished date will head to the Fort Lauderdale resort propelled by visions of banana salted caramel ice cream. You’ll enter the retro-looking spot with white subway tile, overhanging globe light fixtures and vintage soda bottles. You’ll be mesmerized by the colorful, pay-by-the-pound candy wall’s gummy fish, bears and sour things. Together, you’ll walk to the counter and point and smile at everything.
The cookies and cream will catch your eye, as it should. That, along with all the flavors here, are freshly churned onsite and folded into customized sundaes. Or cones. Or waffle tacos. You’ll decide on the PB&J ice cream sandwich rolled in toasted coconut. A solid choice.
Grab a few napkins and head for one of the outdoor seats. Or better yet, to the beach, where you’ll walk hand in hand and sing songs of great mirth together.
Give or take the singing part.
