Good things ahead.
A week of especially summery weather.
An imminent three-day weekend.
But first, the opening of Schilling, a strikingly attractive Austrian-leaning date spot from the Edi & the
Wolf and Freud chef, ready for you to date in it starting this very night.
The spot’s got glass-paneled garage doors that open up to a damn beautiful interior. Some of the
building’s original details are still here—like steel molding and industrial pipes—just now with a
hell of a lot more wood, tufted banquettes and wildflowers mixed in. Safe to say it cleaned up well.
The food’s Austrian, but also sort of not: gruyère-and-crispy-onion-topped spaetzle, hamachi crudo, black pepper tagliatelle. That sort
of thing.
We could go on, but we’ve got all these photos here (fine,
some words, too) that’ll go on in a much more visually pleasing manner.
Go forth and explore.
